It’s been a long time coming, but Josh and I have officially started a podcast! I’m excited to introduce you to The Backlot Express Show, a Disney movie podcast.
We had been talking about making a podcast together since we started dating where we’ve always thought that the two of us bring sort of unique perspectives when it comes to discussing Disney movies. I love Disney obviously, but I am so much more into the theme parks than the movies, and Josh is really into movies in general, so it seemed like the perfect combination for a podcast.
The Backlot Express Show will start off with us discussing every Walt Disney Animation Studios film in the order that they were produced. So our first episode, which you can listen to below, is on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937).
We’ll be following up our discussion of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs with the next chronological Disney animated films; Pinocchio (1940), Fantasia (1940), and Dumbo (1941).
After every four-five Disney animated films, the plan is to stray from this initial list and cover something else, like a Disney live-action film, something from Pixar, Marvel, or Star Wars, other Disney studios, and even the occasional D-COM (Disney Channel Original Movie).
We’re extremely new to podcasting, so please be kind and give us a chance to work on our skills here (especially when it comes to audio and video editing as I am definitely still learning!)
